Browning’s BPS Field Micro Midas has a mix of a classic look with modern fit and handling. It starts with a new satin finish walnut stock designed just for smaller statured shooters and a matte blued barrel. Not only is this stock a compact size, it has been slightly reconfigured to offer a faster, more natural feel. The Inflex recoil pad offers excellent comfort and the new checkering surfaces offer a superior grip. The trigger guard is also slightly larger. The floating rib is a key advantage. The floating rib allows the rib and barrel to expand at different rates and move independently of each other, preventing point of impact shifts caused by barrel heating. The height of the rib gives a good view of the target. Unique to the BPS is its bottom feed and ejection port. Shells are loaded and ejected from the bottom, leaving one less port for dirt and debris to enter the action. Likewise, a left-handed shooter won’t end up ejecting empty hulls into their face. Combined with the top-tang safety, this gun is truly ambidextrous.
