Ruger Grip Frame Ruger New Vaquero

This Ruger Grip Frame replaces the factory grip frame on the Ruger New Vaquero.  If you are planning to convert some other large frame Ruger revolver to this grip frame, be sure to consult owner’s manuals and/or a professional gunsmith before proceeding.  This may require installation of different triggers or other parts.

Grip frames tend to be cast oversize and will require significant fitting to match your gun.  This is intentional and allows for shaping down to a custom fit.

Note also that Ruger Grip Frames have changed over time and while a frame may be compatible with your gun, it may not exactly match your original part.  For example, some older aluminum or alloy frames had two tenons that fit into the back of the cylinder frame to prevent breaking or bending during disassembly, but none of the new steel frames have those, as the steel frame does not have the same risk of breakage.
