Product Overview
Weatherby Select Plus ammunition is some of the flattest shooting, hardest hitting, most accurate ammunition you can buy. It pairs magnum cartridge design with the most popular bullet offerings from Barnes, Hornady, Swift and Nosler. With Select Plus, there’s a bullet option to meet every hunting or shooting situation. Available in all Weatherby Magnum chamberings from .224 Wby. Mag. thru .460 Wby. Mag. including the 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum! With a Weatherby Mark V or Vanguard rifle, you’ll have an unbeatable combination for tack-driving knockdown power that’s always dead on the money.
Weatherby uses only the finest components, such as Norma brass, to assure that each load is as precise as a shooter’s favorite handload. Premium ammunition for premium performance. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.
Hornady ELD-X bullet BCs are measured with Doppler radar and corrected to standard atmospheric conditions. With high velocity, 0-400 yard impact, the bullet continually expands throughout its penetration path. The thick shank of the jacket and high Interlock ring keep the core and jacket together providing 50-60% weight retention. Upon low velocity, 400+ yard impacts, the Heat Shield tip drives backward into the bullet to initiate expansion. Exhibiting conventional expansion with a large mushroom and 85-90% retained weight the bullet provides deep penetration and large wound cavities.
